Of 4 Hour Work Week fame, has this to say about deconstructing languages before you decide which one to learn next.
A neat process, taking an hour or two, preferably with the help of a native speaker.
I hope he follows up with more language articles.

Added delicious link
Added delicious link to the bottom of the right column here, to give the latest ten, no five, additions to the sharq page. It looks a bit cluttered, so I might trim the amount of info, removing tags and comments. We'll see... (Done!)
Today's header links to the page if you want to play with your own account.

Sharqing it
Not only that, you will also of course follow the del. feed. (Click on title to link, but I know you knew that.)
I'm beginning to use the del as my fairly controlled bookmarker instead of Safari bookmarks. See how disciplined I can get. The trick is to keep the number of tags to a rigorous minimum (invites furious criticism as to current tag set...). Tags are definitely the way to go, as we all know. And I speak as a relational db fanatic.

Tinker, tinker
Still tinkering, never blogging. Here's a link to the GoogleReader shared page
And this is a feed.
I quite like this idea of a shared GR page, cos if I did any real blogging, 99% of it would be arrows firing off to places I found interesting. Most of my emails to friends are like that too. So now all I have to do is get folks to sub.

Back
It's OK, I haven't dropped out of cyberspace. Just a tad busy with courses and such. Got a new camera to play with too (Sanyo--pics RSN). Meanwhile, take a look at this beauty. I soooo want one. Now, could we hook up the keyboard configuration options to voice command. How about running it off eeg? This points the direction to human-cyber interface, on the way to Minority Report, and thence to Bill Gibson ... What a fun time we live in!

ScreenCastsOnline
This guy is brilliant. See the review of LaunchBar (he got a discount out of them for viewers, until Nov 20 2005). Beautifully produced vid--very high production values, absolutely on top of his game. I feel sucha klutz. Sooooo much to learn.
Oh, and the product he's reviewing is also brilliant. I'm overwhelmed. Actually, I'm tired. But DO see this.
